Summary

The Quang Duong Air Edition marks a milestone for Wika: it is the brand’s first full-foam paddle, created in partnership with Quang Duong and tuned for modern competitive play. The paddle is the original version of the Air line, before the Evolution 2 update, and it sets out the ideas that the later models refined.

The face is Gen 5 X100 textured carbon, a surface that helps players generate spin and place the ball accurately while keeping its roughness for a long time, even in demanding matches. Under the carbon is a glass-based layer that supports durability. The core is the AIRFOAM, a proprietary foam that the brand says eliminates the core collapse seen in older constructions. Its internal density is arranged like a pyramid, thick at the centre and thinner toward the edge, which widens the sweet spot, increases swing speed and makes it easier to hit the sweet spot more often.

The foam also extends deep into the handle, which damps vibration and gives a solid, heavy-feeling contact. The ball leaves the face with good acceleration, travelling fast and diving down, which suits attacking and counter-punching styles. You can choose 14mm or 16mm, and the paddle comes in blue, red, beige, pink and gold.
