Overview
Summary
The Thrive IGNITE ARC Elongated is built on a simple promise: you do not have to trade speed for power. It combines the explosive power and reach of an elongated paddle with the fast hand speed, manoeuvrability and forgiveness that players expect from a hybrid. The key is a lighter swing weight, which makes quick exchanges easier while still leaving enough power to finish points.
The core is a multi-foam design. An EPP core sits inside a TPE foam ring around the edge, and tungsten weighting is placed strategically along the perimeter. Thrive describes the feel as a blend of the loved Gen 3 touch with the durability and consistency of Gen 4. The tungsten weighting widens the sweet spot across the whole face, so shots off-centre still come out solid.

The face is a four-layer build: three layers of Toray T700 carbon fibre and one layer of fibreglass. The fibreglass layer is placed to improve ball feel and responsiveness without adding unwanted pop, so the paddle remains controlled. In practice, the ARC is suited to speed-ups from the kitchen and fast hand battles where a heavy paddle would lag.
It is a 16mm build and is one of five IGNITE variants in this range, which also include a plain Elongated, a Foam hybrid, an Electric Violet slim-handle version and the Jilly B Signature.
Strengths
- Light swing weight. Easy to move in fast exchanges.
- Elongated reach. Extra length with hybrid-like manoeuvrability.
- Wide sweet spot. Perimeter tungsten weighting improves stability.
- Four-layer face. T700 carbon with fibreglass for feel and spin.
- Durable foam build. Gen 4 consistency.

Weaknesses
- Less raw punch than heavier paddles. Players who want maximum mass may add weight.
- Many similar variants. The IGNITE family has several close relatives.
- Few photos for this listing. Only two images exist, so family pictures were added.
Who it is for
Doubles players who attack from the kitchen and want reach with speed, and intermediate players moving into a modern foam paddle.
Care and buying tips
Clean the face with a damp cloth and keep the paddle in a cover.
On-court tips
The lighter swing weight is the main attraction, so use it. Practise fast hand battles and speed-ups from the kitchen line, and finish drives with a relaxed arm. If you feel the paddle lacks mass on deep drives, try a gram or two of lead tape at the top of the head and judge the difference before adding more.
