Summary

The Canyon Court Capsule edition of the Boomstik takes inspiration from the colours of desert canyons and gives the LABS Project Boomstik a warm, earthy look that is quite different from the brighter limited editions. Under the finish, though, it has the same top-level hardware as the rest of the family: BoomCore, the MOI Tuning System and the InfiniGrit surface.

BoomCore is a fused unit made from a PureFoam centre and an EVA Power Ring. Selkirk positions it as its most powerful core system ever, quoting about 14% more ball exit speed than the previous generation and a build that does not suffer from core crush. MOI tuning places semi-fixed weights around the frame to push mass to the outside, which makes the paddle more stable and enlarges the sweet spot. Selkirk says the resulting balance is not too head-heavy, keeping the paddle steady when the ball is struck off-centre.

InfiniGrit is the surface layer. Selkirk claims it is up to three times more durable than conventional raw carbon and capable of spin up to around 2,000 RPM, with performance that holds up during long sessions rather than falling away after a few weeks.

Both elongated and widebody forms are available in a 16mm build, and each paddle carries a Paddle ID so buyers can check that it is genuine.

Advanced and competitive players who like the Boomstik platform and prefer a more understated, natural-toned finish. It also suits collectors who follow Selkirk’s capsule releases.
