Overview
Summary
The RPM Jade is the newest addition to the brand’s full-foam family, and it was designed around a single goal: spin that lasts. In many paddles the surface is the first thing to lose its character, so RPM built the Jade around a proprietary SICmatrix surface, a silicon-carbide-based texture meant to stay rough far longer than a standard painted or raw carbon finish.
Under that surface, the Jade uses a floating microcellular polypropylene core surrounded by soft EVA foam. The combination is tuned for elite power, a huge sweet spot and long-term durability. Because the entire paddle is foam, there is no honeycomb section to crush over time, so the response should stay consistent for the life of the paddle instead of developing dead spots as older constructions do. An axial carbon layup aligns the fibres strategically to transfer energy efficiently, producing a predictable, stable response.

RPM publishes data for several versions. The 16mm widebody weighs about 7.8 oz with a swing weight of 107 and twist weight of 6.9. The 14mm widebody weighs 7.7 oz with a swing weight of 104 and twist weight of 6.8. The 14mm elongated version weighs 7.7 oz with a swing weight of 112 and twist weight of 6.0. All versions carry USAP PBCoR .43 certification and are classified as professional level.
Strengths
- Lasting spin. SICmatrix is designed to maintain grit for much longer than ordinary surfaces.
- Consistent core. Full-foam construction avoids core crush and dead spots.
- Huge sweet spot. The floating core and EVA surround forgive mishits.
- Stable on twist. The widebody variants have high twist weights up to 6.9.
- Shape options. Elongated for reach, widebody for stability.

Weaknesses
- Foam feel takes adjustment. Players moving from honeycomb will need a few sessions.
- Lower swing weight on widebody. Players who want a head-heavy hitter might prefer the elongated version.
- Surface needs cleaning. Silicon carbide grit works best when kept free of dirt and oil.
Who it is for
Players who play often and are frustrated by paddles that lose their spin, advanced and professional-level players who want a modern full-foam build, and those who prefer a wide, forgiving sweet spot.
