Overview
Summary
The Cannon2 M1 is the upgraded successor to the Pro Cannon, and it was created for intermediate to professional players who want explosive, no-compromise power. Luzz kept the character that made the Cannon popular and focused on durability. The result is a paddle with a harder-wearing surface, a more reliable core and a larger sweet spot.
The most important change is the Aero-9966 surface. This coating forms a durable armour layer over the carbon face and penetrates into the carbon fibre itself, reinforcing the bond with the core. The aim is to prevent the face from wearing down and to stop the carbon from breaking up over time, so friction and spin stay close to factory level. A second feature is MOI Perimeter Stability, which places dense stabilising weights on both sides of the frame. This widens the sweet spot horizontally and stops the paddle twisting in the hand, so shots stay stable even on off-centre contact and hard volleys.

The third feature is long-lasting stiffness. A reinforced core structure combined with the Aero-9966 wrap is meant to resist the gradual softening that many paddles suffer, so the paddle should keep its sharp, powerful feel throughout its life.
Cannon2 M1 holds dual certification from UPA-A and USAP, which allows it to be used in major events including the PPA, APP and MLP. The Black version is the plain, understated colourway.
Strengths
- Big, stable sweet spot. Perimeter weighting helps resist twisting.
- Durable surface. Aero-9966 is designed to keep the face’s grip over time.
- Lasting stiffness. The core is reinforced to resist softening.
- Dual certification. UPA-A and USAP approved.
- Lower price than many flagships. Listed at about USD 119 on the brand site.

Weaknesses
- Firm feel. Players who like a plush, quiet response may find it stiff.
- Power focus. It is less specialised for soft hands play.
- Minimal design. The Black colourway is simple compared with the character editions.
- Edge weighting. The added stability can raise the swing weight a little.
Who it is for
Players who want a durable power paddle at a strong price, including intermediate players stepping up to a professional-grade model.
Care and buying tips
A power paddle with a rough, armoured face rewards regular cleaning. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth after each session and use a dedicated eraser block now and then to lift marks without scrubbing the coating. Check the edge guard occasionally for gaps, because impacts with the ground are the most common cause of damage. If you play often, rotate between two paddles to extend the life of each.
