Summary

The JOOLA Perseus 3S Dual is an accessible way into the brand’s performance range. It combines the Perseus head shape that Ben Johns made famous with a textured carbon-fibre face, a HyperFoam edge wall and a unibody build in which carbon fibre runs continuously from the face to the handle. That continuous structure removes the weak joint between face and handle found in many paddles, which makes the paddle feel stiff, immediate and precise.

The HyperFoam edge wall is injected around the perimeter to strengthen the frame and widen the sweet spot, so off-centre hits come out steadier. The Carbon Friction Surface adds bite for topspin and slice, and the Dual in the name refers to its certification: the paddle is approved by both USAP (PBCoR .43) and UPA-A, so it is legal in recreational events and professional tournaments alike.

You can choose between 14mm and 16mm versions. The thinner 14mm paddle is quicker and livelier at the kitchen, with a snappier touch. The 16mm adds control and forgiveness and suits players who value stability over speed.
