Honolulu’s J6CR is the most powerful paddle in its Sword & Shield lineup, but the brand has been careful to keep it recognisable to players who like the J2 series. It starts with the long-handle shape that made the J2 popular, enlarges the face slightly and adds an aerodynamic curve at the top of the head. Weight is shifted toward the tip, which raises the swing weight and gives drives and put-aways extra authority while keeping the controlled feel the J line is known for.

The marketing language is technical, but the ideas are straightforward. Core Reactor, Dynamic PowerFlex and Control Joint are patent-pending technologies intended to make the paddle powerful when you swing hard and gentle when you play soft. The face is a sandwich of carbon fibre and fibreglass, finished with the Crystal Blue Endurance Surface, which uses encapsulated blue crystal particles to create a controlled, durable grit.
